Equity and Social Justice
The Children’s Trust is committed to equity and social justice across Miami-Dade County. We stand with all those who fight for a just society and against racism.
The death of George Floyd last year and other recent events demonstrate that so much still needs to be done to create a socially just and racially equal society. This reality has reinforced The Children’s Trust’s belief that we must be a voice in our community for transformative change.
In the face of racial injustice and systemic racism, The Children’s Trust joins those who demand change. We are experiencing a moment in history where silence is not an option and we must choose the right side of justice – condemning racism in all forms, serving as conveners in important conversations across our communities, and breaking down institutional racism in the areas where we have influence.
Through our staff, providers, partners and those we serve we seek to be agents of this necessary change.
