The Children's Trust Family Expo is a daylong festival held at the Miami-Dade Fair & Expo Center that brings together the entire family for fun, education and interaction with health, social services and other children services providers. The event features learning and entertainment activities in more than 200 booths, displays and games, all free of charge. The Expo attracts more than 15,000 visitors a year.

Activities specifically for children include face painters, clowns, stilt walkers, magicians, storytellers, arts and crafts, bounce houses, rock climbing walls, and music and dance performances. There will also be exhibits featuring fencing, chess tournaments, tennis, as well as appearances by beloved storybook characters. Families can also take advantage of free dental screenings (Ages 1-12) and giveaways provided by Colgate Bright Smiles Bright Futures.

The Family Expo is also a great opportunity for parents to learn of the wealth of resources and opportunities available to their children including after-school and enrichment programs, nutrition education, injury prevention, programs for children with special needs, pre-K registration information and KidCare outreach. A special book fair will also be held at the Family Expo, while mobile units offering community services and multiple stages with performances of all kinds are sure to make the event an unforgettable experience for the entire family.
