Fit Kids of America is a nonprofit organization serving the needs of children ages 2 to 14in Miami-Dade County through specialized youth fitness and strength training, and a healthy and balanced nutrition program that is pediatrician- and dietitian-approved. Its mission is to support the development of children who will become academically engaged, physically fit, socially adept, and culturally enriched to become independent and successful citizens of the future. Fit Kids of America is committed to creating and building key partnerships that will support the growth and expansion of affordable high-quality out-of-school programs that meet the needs and challenges of the community, and to foster children’s educational, physical, social, and emotional development.

Overtown Children and Youth Coalition

The Children’s Trust is proud to highlight the incredible work of Overtown Children and Youth Coalition (OCYC), a driving force for positive change in the Historic Overtown community of Miami. OCYC serves as a catalyst, convening, networking, leveraging, scaling, and impacting a critical mass of children and youth who both benefit from and contribute to the ongoing growth and redevelopment of the area in positive and meaningful ways. The coalition is made up of businesses, organizations, and individuals whose services, programs, products, and support solutions work to improve the overall well-being and continuous development of Overtown’s children and youth.
