This summer, the battle of all battles goes virtual! The Children’s Trust and all the Miami-Dade Grade Level Reading Partners are looking to crown the next Great Book Warrior during the 2020 Battle of the Books.

Miami, FL –  To help support Miami-Dade families with young children in times of crisis, The Children’s Trust gave $95,000 in emergency funding to the Miami Diaper Bank, the largest ever donation to the nonprofit which pays for and distributes diapers to the needy in the community.

Miami, FL – Continuing its focus to help all families and children in Miami-Dade County affected by the coronavirus pandemic, The Children’s Trust is contributing $500,000 to United Way of Miami-Dade’s new Miami Pandemic Response Fund, part of Operation Helping Hands.

It is with a heavy heart that The Children’s Trust shares news that former member of the Florida House of Representative Gustavo Barreiro passed away unexpectedly on the morning of Friday, August 16. Gus served as a Public Policy and Community Engagement Liaison for The Trust since 2015.
