Family Neighborhood Support Partnerships RFP Networking Session

Provider Activities

FNSPs offer comprehensive and individualized supports for children, youth and their families who are experiencing challenges that limit them from realizing their full health, social, educational and economic potential. Supports aim to amplify strengths and build resilience through individualized wraparound service supports. Our belief is that if we promote positive childhood experiences, build family and youth strengths and relationships, as well as support basic needs, then children, youth and families will achieve better outcomes.

Specific populations intended to be served through this funding include any of the following:

  • Children and youth residing in neighborhoods affected by poverty, crime, unemployment, community violence or trauma
  • Children exposed to family conflict and domestic violence
  • Children of incarcerated parents
  • Youth involved in and/or transitioning out of the child welfare system
  • Families and/or youth experiencing homelessness or chronic housing instability
  • Youth affected by sexual abuse and/or human trafficking
  • Youth experiencing immigration challenges and/or in need of legal advocacy
  • Lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ) youth
  • Families living with significant disabilities
  • High-ability or gifted students who lack enrichment opportunities and economic resources
  • Applicants may also propose to serve other high-need groups by presenting a clear description and justification of needs
