Magaly C. Abrahante, Ed.D., has been an educator for 35 years, and currently serves as an assistant superintendent for Miami-Dade County Public Schools, the fourth largest school system in the nation. In this role, Dr. Abrahante is responsible for the supervision of early childhood programs, exceptional student education (ESE), Title I Programs, services for homeless and migrant students, and various family support programs, such as the Parent Academy and the Department of Family Support Services. Previously, Dr. Abrahante served as chief personnel officer; director of school choice programs, including charter schools; civil rights compliance officer; school site administrator; and teacher.
Dr. Abrahante is also the proud mother of four children.
