Single Source Description:
This information is designed to inform the applicant community and the public that The Children’s Trust intends to enter into a non-competitive contract (known as a single source) to purchase a product or service unless it is determined by The Trust, based on the responses to this notice, that there is more than one qualified applicant. The Children’s Trust seeks to procure the services of one agency to implement the following program:
The 211 Call Center to manage all aspects of The 211 Helpline in Miami-Dade County, which shall serve as the single point of coordination for information and referral for health and human services in Miami-Dade County. The 211 Helpline provides 24-hour comprehensive helpline and support services for children, youth, parents and human service providers seeking crisis intervention assistance, empathetic listening support, and or information and referrals to health and human services located in Miami-Dade County. Additionally, the 211 Helpline provider maintains a web-based Help Pages/Community Resource Directory (CRD) accessible to the public via a searchable database on the Internet. This resource provides information on community-based and government agencies, individual service programs, service sites, client eligibility criteria, and other specifications.
- Community Engagement Notice of Funding Availability - Fiscal Year 2022-2023 Only
The Community Engagement Fund of The Children's Trust hopes to build on existing community assets, encourage collaboration and support the sustainability of successful programs and projects. All funded programs/projects must support the mission and values of The Children's Trust. The fund includes two portfolio areas, (1) Direct Service and Program Enhancements and (2) Promotion of Citizen Engagement, Advocacy, and Leadership. The Community Engagement Fund is a noncompetitive opportunity that provides community partners not directly funded by The Children's Trust the opportunity to seek funding for programs that support communities as well as children and their families in Miami-Dade County. In accordance with the procurement policy, section 2010, Community Engagement Fund Policy.
Please Note: Applications for this grant must be submitted at least 90 days prior to the proposed activity and are accepted on a rolling basis until budgeted funds within the fiscal year are exhausted. Items reviewed in September will only be considered for funding under the next fiscal year beginning in October.

NOFA 2019-13 Direct Services and Program Enhancements
The Community Engagement fund is a noncompetitive opportunity that provides community partners not directly funded by The Children’s Trust the opportunity to seek funding for programs that support communities as well as children and their families in Miami-Dade County. The Direct Service and Program Enhancements portfolio of the Community Engagement Fund aims to provide support for community-based services. This funding can only be used to provide service enhancement to existing programs. The service population to be addressed must be demonstrated as a high-need community or population, or where some physical or safety factor prevents access to existing services. The typical grant award is expected to be no more than $10,000.00. A defined application criterion has been developed. Specifics of this solicitation can be found within the supporting documentation.Please Note: Due to the high volume of funding requests, application submissions is closed for FY 2022-2023 programs. This application will re-open on September 1, 2023, for funding consideration for initiatives taking place in FY 2023-2024 (FY begins October 1, 2023). Applications require a minimum of 90 days to be processed.
NOFA 2019-14 Promotion of Citizen Engagement, Advocacy, and Leadership
The Community Engagement fund is a noncompetitive opportunity that provides community partners not directly funded by The Children’s Trust the opportunity to seek funding for programs that support communities as well as children and their families in Miami-Dade County. The Promotion of Citizen Engagement, Advocacy, and Leadership portfolio of the Community Engagement Fund aims to provide support for community-based planning, organization and collaboration. This funding can only be used to support collaborative community projects. These collaborative efforts must have the intent to develop and/or operate in partnerships that promote citizen led engagement, advocacy, and governance at variable stages of progress of the project. The typical grant award is expected to be no more than $10,000.00. A defined application criterion has been developed. Specifics of this solicitation can be found within the supporting documentation.Please Note: Due to the high volume of funding requests, application submissions is closed for FY 2022-2023 programs. - Community Outreach Activities - Fiscal Year 2022-2023 Only
The Children’s Trust may participate in and/or sponsor community outreach activities that support the mission and values of The Children’s Trust, in accordance with the guidelines and policies as indicated in the Procurement Policy document below in the downloads.
