Communications Project Manager

The Communications Project Manager is responsible for planning and overseeing projects to ensure they are completed in a timely fashion and within budget. In this role, the Communications Project Manager will plan, execute, monitor, control and close out projects, while keeping stakeholders informed. This is all done within the scope of the Communications Team’s goals and vision.

The Communications Project Manager, under general guidance from the Director of Communications, ensures the internal and external messaging, brand and image of The Children’s Trust is consistent with its values and guidelines. In this role, the incumbent will respond to general department inquiries at the request of and/or on behalf of the Director of Communications and other management. The Communications Project Manager, under the general direction from the Director of Communications, exercises discretionary judgment regarding the operations of the communications team.

Accountant

This position is responsible for reviewing and critically analyzing financial information and provider documents within the framework of “Results-based Accountability (RBA)” and with an emphasis on maintaining quality internal control standards. This includes, but is not limited to, preparing, maintaining reviewing, and analyzing accounting records in accordance with The Children’s Trust (The Trust) accounting policies and procedures, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), regulations promulgated by the Governmental Accounting Standards (GASB) and Government Auditing Standards.

Work performance is reviewed through conferences, reports, a mastery of the Services and Activities Management Information System (SAMIS) and observation of results achieved.

Communications Coordinator

The Communications Coordinator is responsible for assisting the Director of Communications with the general administration of communication projects, vendor agreements and purchase orders, as well as with all the community outreach efforts. Work performed by the Communications Coordinator includes but is not limited to researching and obtaining bids for services or purchased goods, monitoring agreements and their terms of services and manages the Brand Ambassadors’ team. The incumbent has latitude to make informed decisions and recommendations regarding vendor and materials selection. Additionally, prepares reports and other communications for the department and executive management.

Special Projects Manager

The Special Projects Manager is a critical member of both cross- and inter-departmental teams at The Children’s Trust who engages in strategic planning, proactive problem-solving and critical thinking/analysis related to the design, coordination, and implementation of organizational projects. Primary responsibilities include utilizing and implementing change management, project management and business process management disciplines for successful on-budget and on-time execution of organizational projects.

Program Manager

This position is responsible for administering and monitoring contracts for various early childhood programs and services throughout Miami-Dade County that are funded by The Children's Trust. This position requires occasional non-traditional work hours (weekends and evenings). Background and experience in data analysis, process improvement and analytics is preferred.

The following duties are illustrative for this position: assist with the development and management of the bid solicitation process; monitor funded programs and services; participate in meetings and professional development activities; manage contract amendments and revisions; manage contract compliance; examines and uses data, processes and systems for organizational goals setting.
