The Children's Trust is a dedicated source of revenue established by voter referendum to improve the lives of children and families in Miami-Dade County by making strategic investments in their futures. The Trust is guided by principles and values that include targeting early intervention and prevention services to our most vulnerable children, families and neighborhoods, while advocating for, and supporting, the increased availability of needed services for all children and their families.

IDT Director

The Information and Data Technology (IDT) Director position directs the overall leadership, strategy and management of the information and data technology initiatives undertaken to support the vision, leadership, and goals of The Children’s Trust. The IDT Director ensures the continuous delivery of responsive systems to ensure timely and accurate data to maximize financial, strategic, and operational goals. The incumbent directs and coordinates the planning, implementation, and integration of:

  • Information and data technology budgeting 
  • Strategic and tactical planning 
  • Project Management of IDT Project Components
  • Coordinating Applications support 
  • Network and infrastructure Supervision and Management
  • Hosted services including, but not limited to, SaaS and IaaS 
  • User services(e.g., help desk, desktop support, training for internal staff and external service providers)

The Information and Data Technology Director reports directly to the Chief Operations Officer (COO). Work performance is reviewed by the COO through conferences, reports and observations of results achieved.

Community Engagement Manager

The Community Engagement Manager is responsible for performing a variety of community-driven duties with an emphasis on maintaining contact with community groups, parents, and other caregivers, providing support to residents on children’s needs, as well as evaluating and responding to community needs concerning children. The incumbent exercises independence of action and will possess considerable knowledge of community activities and needs for children and families and use considerable professional judgment in the performance of community engagement work.

IT Manager

The Children's Trust’s Information Technology (IT) team is responsible to implement strategically aligned solutions to increase the use of information to support decision making to meet financial, strategic, and operational goals. The IT team supports all departments throughout The Trust, and its community networks and provider partnerships. 

The IT Manager's role is to collaborate and engage with system and report developers throughout the development cycle to ensure that user requirements are met. Testing is a vital part of the development lifecycle and is critical to meeting user requirements and delivering quality solutions in a cost effective and efficient manner. The Children’s Trust ecosystem provides support for staff to work with full functionality whether onsite and remote. The IT Manager implements the security measures in alignment with cybersecurity strategy and coordinates risk mitigation activities. The IT Manager serves as the contract manager for IT contracts. This role requires exceptional communication, coordination, and organizational problem-solving skills.

Program Manager

The Program Manager position manages the full life cycle of assigned funded program(s) and services located throughout Miami-Dade County. This position requires occasional non-traditional work hours (weekends and evenings) and reliable transportation. 

This professional position will support the Programs Management Team in implementing strategies that foster collaboration among internal and external stakeholders to ensure services are delivered in accordance with The Children’s Trust standards and latest evidence-based practices. S/he is responsible for utilizing change management, knowledge, skills, and behaviors to promote continuous quality improvement throughout the assigned contracts and projects. This person will be assigned a caseload of contracts and may serve as initiative/project lead.

Solutions Specialist

The Solutions Specialist executes on solutions design in response to business priorities and vetted requirements. This position conducts unit testing and validates use cases to ensure solution aligns with requirements. This position maintains and implements routine solutions under the guidance of senior data team members.

The Solution Specialist is a key business/technical resource for staff. As emerging technologies develop, the Solution Specialist is expected to learn these technologies quickly, assess their impact and identify user needs to assist with integrating new technologies with The Trust’s systems. The Solution Specialist works with senior department staff to understand the structure, policies, and operations of the organization and to implement solutions that enable The Trust to achieve its information based strategic and operational goals. Works collaboratively as a member of the solutions team and may work on diverse technical solutions including supporting all department functions.

Technology & Data Specialist

The Technology and Data Specialist reports to the IT Manager and is responsible for providing data and technical support to members of the Data Team and other stakeholders. Responsibilities include providing support to augment the services provided by The Trust’s Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS) partner, assisting with on-site or hybrid meetings utilizing technology, triaging and troubleshooting tickets as they are submitted for Data Team support, and configuring routine requests based on validated requirements.

The Technology and Data Specialist reports directly to the IT Manager. Performance is reviewed through meetings, reports, and observation of results achieved.

Research & Evaluation Analyst

The Research and Evaluation Analyst is a critical member of both cross- and inter-departmental teams at The Children’s Trust who engages in proactive problem-solving and critical thinking/analysis related to the design and effectiveness of various child, youth and family services. Primary responsibilities include: contributing to effective program and systems designs for The Children’s Trust’s priority investments in child, youth and family services; designing and maintaining sound data collection tools and systems to capture meaningful program, operational and community data in a user-friendly, accessible manner; and analyzing and making meaning from available data to tell our stories using compelling visualizations and reports, with an intentional focus on the specific audience and purpose of the message.  

This exempt, salaried position works under general supervision from the director of research. Work performance is reviewed through conferences, reports and observation of results achieved.
