The Big Picture in Early Learning:
Using Collective Impact in Miami-Dade to Organize Data Across Systems
The first speaker series event resulting from the Synergy Symposium.

The Miami-Dade IDEAS Consortium for Children will present progress, findings to date, and its vision for moving forward, followed by break-out sessions to cull feedback from an audience of diverse, community-based professionals.

With so many communities and service providers – and so many children from low-income and at-risk backgrounds – how can we better prepare all Miami-Dade children for school success? A multisystem partnership between the county, school district, Early Learning Coalition, The Children's Trust, and University of Miami is now completing an initial set of shared goals to analyze data from each system. Partners will describe initial challenges and findings and discuss progress toward an ongoing Integrated data system that can help to align and improve local services and public policies. There will be an opportunity for attendees to provide input on a collective impact approach designed to help Miami-Dade children – and Miami-Dade service agencies – work smarter over time.
