Amigos For Kids Blue Ribbon Awareness Event

Amigos For Kids and the Miami-Dade County Public Schools Division of Student Services organize and host the 2019 Blue Ribbon Awareness Event at the Miami-Dade County Auditorium. Created over a decade ago, the event brings together nearly 2,000 Miami Dade County Public School children, school board representatives, key organizations including the Florida Department of Children and Families and The Children’s Trust, as well as elected officials and community leaders. The event focuses on the essential need to provide safe, healthy environments for children and emphasizes the urgency of working together to keep kids safe, while encouraging them to reach out to trusted adults and seek help if they are victims of or are aware of abuse. The occasion consists of drama and dance routines, bands and a number of activities.
