Immunizations

Back-to-School Checklist: medical check-ups; immunizations; after-school programs; health insurance, uniforms, book bag, notebooks, other suppliesAs the world waits for a critical COVID-19 vaccine, many parents have forgotten or delayed other vaccinations and immunizations that are already out there, and just as important for you child’s health. When schools reopen, your child will only be able to return if he or she is up to date with his current vaccines. It’s also important for your children to get their annual checkup. The good news is that there are many places to go for free checkups and immunizations including the University of Miami Pediatric Mobile Clinic which offers free vaccinations by appointment. Children without up-to-date vaccines could be prevented from attending class and we want to make sure your child has a happy and healthy school year!

For free immunizations and checkups, select one of the following clinics of the Florida Department of Health in Miami-Dade County and call 786.845.0550 to make an appointment.
