Stephanie Sylvestre

Stephanie Sylvestre joined The Children's Trust as Chief Operations Officer in February 2014. She is currently the Chief Programs Officer and Chief Information Officer. Her previous work experience includes stints in the private sector as an IT Quality Leader.

Active as a volunteer and community activist, Ms. Sylvestre highlights problem-solving and team-building to encourage efficiencies that foster more effective organizations. She spent a year sabbatical at the Belafonte TACOLCY Center helping to manage the organization.

Imran Ali

Imran Ali joined The Trust in May 2014 and more recently in September 2015 served as interim president and CEO. Mr. Ali began his extensive career in social services working with Guyana’s Department of Public Assistance. In 1981, he relocated to Miami-Dade County where he began working for Florida's Department of Children and Families (DCF). At DCF he held progressively responsible positions including director of operations for all DCF programs and director of child welfare.

Susan Marian

Susan Marian joined The Trust in January 2004 and brings to her position over 20 years experience in the executive support, office management and customer service fields.

Ms. Marian earned an A.A. in Special Education. A firm believer in giving back to the community, she has worked for many years as a volunteer with Easter Seals, Big Brothers/Sisters and the Crisis Hotline at Switchboard of Miami.

James R. Haj

Mr. James R. Haj joined The Children’s Trust as president and CEO in April 2016. With Mr. Haj at the helm, The Trust has enjoyed one of its most successful periods. Trust investment in programs and services for children and families in Miami-Dade County has risen to its highest levels, while administrative expenses are at their smallest percentage in the history of the organization.
