Rodester Brandon, who joined The Trust Board in April 2015, is the founder, artistic director and principal conductor of the Miami Wind Symphony.  He retired in 2016 as the chair of the Department of Music, Theater and Dance at Miami Dade College Kendall Campus. Previously, he directed the Department of Instrumental Music at the New World School of the Arts and served as an ensemble conductor for eight years. Mr. Brandon has extensive performance experience with orchestras and chambers around the country. He earned his bachelor's degree in Music from the University of Miami and his master's in Music Education from the University of Michigan. He also holds a certificate from the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards. He currently serves as a consultant in instrumental music education.
