All Kids Included District-Wide Student Art Competition

Community Event

All Kids Included

The All Kids Included student art competition is open to all Miami-Dade students in grades Pre-K-12. Students are invited to submit original art work depicting the competition theme and are asked to draw on the competition's selected book for inspiration. Semi-finalists and finalists’ artwork will be exhibited at one or more Miami-Dade Public Libraries and/or during the All Kids Included Family Arts Festival. The theme for 2020 is inspired by the book, The Boy Who Grew Flowers by Jen Wojtowicz, illustrated by Steve Adams. The Boy Who Grew Flowers is a unique and inspirational story of courage, difference and friendship. The beautifully illustrated book featuring ethereal paintings on textured boards is a wonderful story that celebrates the power of kindness. Student artists should read the book for inspiration and depict the themes of courage, difference and friendship. HOW TO ENTER: Guidelines, required forms, submission instructions, prizes and award information are available from the Miami-Dade County Department of Cultural Affairs at https://www.miamidadearts.org/education/all-kids-included-district-wide-student-art-competition Competition Submission Deadline: Monday, February 3, 2020 Winners and awards will be announced at the 14th Annual All Kids Included Family Arts Festival at South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center on Saturday, May 2, 2020.
