Based on a competitive Request for Qualifications in July 2006, The Children’s Trust established a 2-year research and evaluation vendor pool (valid through September 2008) of 13 entities to assist in completion of the following major specialty task areas:

  1. updated trending, analysis and report card on community indicators of child/family well-being for Miami-Dade County (i.e., State of Miami-Dade County's Children report);
  2. design and implementation of a population-based survey on child health and well-being in Miami-Dade County;
  3. Health Connect formative, short-term and summative evaluation of each major component and the overall initiative;
  4. Early Child Care Quality Rating and Improvement System formative, short-term and summative evaluation;
  5. Resource Networks/Service Partnerships/neighborhood-based collaboratives, aimed at strengthening systems of care for children, youth and families, formative, short-term and summative evaluation; and
  6. updated comprehensive fund analysis of child, youth and family service programs available within Miami-Dade County.
