Parents Can Find Options with More After-School Choices

For the third year running, families in Miami-Dade now have easier access to a wide range of after-school programs thanks to the relaunch of the More After-School Choices initiative, a collaboration between The Children’s Trust, Jewish Community Services of South Florida (JCS), Miami-Dade County, and Miami-Dade County Public Schools.

Through 211miami.org/afterschool or by dialing 211, parents and caregivers can explore hundreds of free or low-cost programs available across the county. The service, offered in English, Spanish, and Haitian Creole, is powered by the JCS 211 Miami Helpline, a program funded by The Children’s Trust.

Options include arts, STEM, sports, music, literacy programs, and physical fitness—providing safe, engaging spaces where children can learn, grow, and stay active after school. Programs are designed for different age groups and offered at convenient locations countywide.

The initiative builds on the success of the More Summer Camp Choices program and last year’s after-school launch, both of which saw sharp increases in online searches and calls from families.
