A Spooky Symphony Featuring Some of the Most Beautiful Scary Music You've Ever Heard on Oct. 24thPublished Wednesday, September 29, 2010
A FREE Family Fun Halloween Event Presented by The Children’s Trust
WHAT: “A Spooky Symphony”, featuring the most beautiful scary music you’ve ever heard by The Greater Miami Youth Symphony and the Alhambra Orchestra, is a free Halloween family concert featuring excerpts from Symphonie Fantastique, The Three-Cornered Hat and other classical pieces, plus music from Lord of the Rings and Phantom of the Opera. Additional concert highlights include a multimedia presentation; costumed ushers from the Roxy Theatre Group; two teenage soloists who are semi-finalists in the Actor’s Playhouse Young Talent Big Dreams talent competition also sponsored by The Children’s Trust; and a costume contest. Introduce your children to the magic of a live orchestra!
WHO: The Alhambra Orchestra and Greater Miami Youth Symphony. Program conducted by Alfred Gershfeld and Huifang Chen and presented by The Children’s Trust. Additional sponsors include BankAtlantic, Hard Rock Café, and the Miami Parking Authority.
WHEN: Sunday, October 24, 2010, 4 p.m.
WHERE: The Olympia Theater at The Gusman Center for the Performing Arts, 174 East Flagler Street, Miami, FL. FREE Parking at the Convention Center Garage located at 100 SE 2nd street.
