HealthConnect in Our Community Print

Community health workers, strategically located throughout Miami-Dade County, work neighborhood-by-neighborhood to help children and families navigate the complicated route to quality health care and services.

Community health workers will work closely with health navigators. Navigators are trained to enroll children and families into healthcare funding sources. Together, they collaborate to increase access to primary-care physicians, health insurance and other health services, regardless of race, ethnicity, origin of birth/nationality, immigration status or income.

insurance programs and get connected to health care services that they need. Workers in this program are
trained to enroll families in insurance programs like KidCare and Medicaid.
