The primary mission of the Capacity Training & Organizational Development Division is to support the planning, implementation and evaluation of high quality services for children, youth and families; system of care, and community involvement on behalf of children; increase provider effectiveness and program impact; strengthen provider operational efficiency and customer service; enhance fiscal stewardship and accountability; facilitate continuous quality improvement for providers and The Children's Trust. Miami NICE Trainings Miami NICE is a unique public/private partnership comprised of the City of Miami, Office of Faith-based Initiatives and Community Outreach (lead agency/intermediary), The Children’s Trust, Miami-Dade County, Center for Non-Profit Effectiveness (C-One), The Alliance for Human Services, Family and Children Faith Coalition, and the United Way of Miami-Dade.
Miami NICE helps small faith-based and community organizations (FBCOs) and non-profit organizations acquire and develop skills and tools to increase their efficiency; improve their sustainability and effectiveness; and prepare them as collaborators.
Miami NICE will provide free training and technical assistance in the form of lectures, workshops and seminars open to any FBCOs that operate in Miami-Dade County or provide services to residents of Miami-Dade County. Class Size Limits Training classes offered by The Children’s Trust are normally limited to a certain number of participants. When you register for a session you will see the number of attendees allowed to register. If a class has more participants than allowed to register there may be an opportunity for you to be waitlisted. Please see the registration system for further instructions. Timeliness If you have registered for training your seat will be held for up to 10 minutes after the class has started specifically for Data Tracker Training and 20 minutes for all others. Once that time has passed your seat may be given to someone on the waitlist or to a person who has registered on-site. Quarterly Calendar Beginning August 1st The Children's Trust will post the calendar quarterly to assist you in planning your training schedule for you and your staff. Some training will continue to be posted as needed; however, most trainings are going to be scheduled in advance. On-Site Registration System Want to attend training but you forgot to register? The Children's Trust will now accept on-site registrations only after everyone who has registered online has been seated. If 10 minutes has passed and there are seats still available one will be given to you. If all the seats are taken you will be asked to register for another class.
