Now in its seventh year, The Children's Trust Champions for Children awards ceremony honored individuals and programs that have achieved greatness in their service to children and families. This annual, signature event has become one of the most coveted within the community of child advocates and in all of Miami-Dade County and serves as an inspiration to others to follow in the path of our award recipients. Awards are presented in the following categories:

The Children's Trust Family Expo! Fun for the Whole Family

2011 Family Expo!

The Children’s Trust Family Expo, sponsored by Target, is a day-long a family festival at the Miami-Dade Fair and Expo Center on Saturday, May 14, 2011. It features activities and entertainment for the entire family in an effort to provide parents with direct contact with health and social services, as well as educational opportunities. The event attracts more than 30,000 visitors a year. Activities include: face painters, clowns, stiltwalkers, magicians, storytellers, arts & crafts, bounce houses, rock climbing walls, music and dance performances, workshops and classes for parents, child fingerprinting, injury prevention, programs for children with special needs, Pre-K registration, KidCare outreach, vaccination information, after-school programs, child seat safety demonstrations, puppet shows, appearances by well-known characters, mobile units offering community services and much more.
