Description:
In this workshop, providers will learn how to use ORF data to not only determine children's current reading levels and identify those reading below their grade level, but also to select the appropriate teaching strategies to improve overall reading fluency. By using research-supported teaching strategies, oral reading fluency can actually be improved, often with a positive impact on future gains in academic achievement. This workshop is the first step to incorporating a systematic approach to improving reading in OOS programs.
