For example, we may recommend increasing the number of "slots" required for out-of-school programs in order to conserve on programmatic expense. We may also recommend increasing the intensity of activities in youth development programs, while focusing that funding more narrowly for adolescent youth. These recommendations and others will form part of an interactive discussion on how best to implement the strategic plan. We ask that you come to the public meeting ready to comment on the perceived costs and benefits of our recommendations, as well as to offer additional suggestions that may accomplish the desired results.
We are providing an opportunity for all interested persons the opportunity to submit written data, views, and opinions concerning the recommendations. Your comments will help to guide us as we frame the difficult choices that have to be made, as always, in the open, transparent and equitable manner to which we are accustomed to serving our community

In the Data Tracker Hands-On training you will learn how to enter and edit client demographics, create groups and assign clients, enter and edit attendance for type 1, 2 and 3 outputs as well as the basic entry of ORF and PACER test information.
The training will begin promptly at the scheduled time. We ask that you arrive on time. We understand that there are times when other duties may interfere with the scheduled training, however, if you will be more than 10 minutes late, please reschedule for the next available training as this allows the training to continue uninterrupted and provides a better learning experience for the other participants.

1st Annual Red Ribbon Kickoff At Miami Gardens (9:00 am)

Ferguson Recreational Complex, the celebration will launch Red Ribbon Week, a national campaign to promote drug prevention awareness, which takes place October 23rd – 31st of each year.
The free celebration launches the nation's largest drug prevention campaign, held in communities across America, October 23rd-31st and includes an "I Am Drug Free" parade, entertainment, representation from community organizations and a closing program, featuring Informed Families' President & CEO Peggy Sapp. There will be light refreshments and giveaways.
The festivities will culminate with a brief platform program featuring Informed Families President & CEO Peggy Sapp, entertainment by local performing artists, and reflections from Miami-Dade County and City of Miami Gardens officials. The UTC Enrique Camarena Award will be presented to an individual from the City of Miami Gardens Police Department who has made a significant contribution in the field of drug prevention in the local community.

Data Tracker Hands-On Training (1:00 pm)

In the Data Tracker Hands-On training you will learn how to enter and edit client demographics, create groups and assign clients, enter and edit attendance for type 1, 2 and 3 outputs as well as the basic entry of ORF and PACER test information.
The training will begin promptly at the scheduled time. We ask that you arrive on time. We understand that there are times when other duties may interfere with the scheduled training, however, if you will be more than 10 minutes late, please reschedule for the next available training as this allows the training to continue uninterrupted and provides a better learning experience for the other participants.

Participants will learn how to identify areas that need improvement as well as how to recognize program strengths. Please be sure to arrive on time!

Kinetic Kids OT Halloween Party Event (12:00 - noon)
Kinetic Kids Therapy Services in collaboration with the occupational therapy department at Florida International University will be hosting our annual Kinetic Kids OT Fun Day and Halloween Party on Sunday, October 31st from 12:00 – 2:00 pm. Please see attachment for location information.
In addition to hosting various kid oriented activities, serving food and refreshments, and enjoying our costume contest, we would very much like to extend an invitation to local community representatives to join us at this event and use the venue to present information to the attending families that might further their understanding of resources available to them in the community.
Tables will be provided to set up information for your organization.
