Ready… Set… Go… Out Of School 2010 (7:30 am)
Ready… Set… Go… Out of School 2010 is a one-day mini-conference open to all Children’s Trust-funded out-of-school providers serving children ages 5-18. This five-hour in-service training will offer 20 workshop sessions, an exhibit showcase and networking luncheon with door prizes. For the first time, the mini-conference includes an administrator’s track offering workshops geared for program administrators and agency executives. The Children’s Trust, a dedicated source of revenue established by voter referendum to improve the lives of children and families in Miami-Dade County, is the major sponsor of this event WHO SHOULD ATTEND The mini-conference offers educational workshops designed for direct care staff, site coordinators, program managers, and agency executives. Attendance is limited to The Children’s Trust-funded out-of-school providers only. CEUs CEU credit is provided through the Children's Forum/IACET. CEU payment is good for any/all training hours of event (up to 5 hours). One hour of training equals .1 (point one) CEU. CEU incurs an additional fee of $20 during pre-registration. On-Site CEU registration is available at $25.00. CEU registrants must pick up required paperwork at the CEU Registration Desk on event date. DATE & TIME June 5, 2010 Sign-in: 7:30 - 8:30am. In the Data Tracker Hands-On training you will learn how to enter and edit client demographics, create groups and assign clients, enter and edit attendance for type 1, 2 and 3 outputs as well as the basic entry of ORF and PACER test information.
The training will begin promptly at the scheduled time. We ask that you arrive on time. We understand that there are times when other duties may interfere with the scheduled training, however, if you will be more than 10 minutes late, please reschedule for the next available training as this allows the training to continue uninterrupted and provides a better learning experience for the other participants.

Summer Jam Concert (9:00 pm)
Parents from the Boys & Girls Club in Kendall will host a "Summer Jam Concert" featuring the bands, TILT and Eruption, to raise funds for club improvements.
TILT will perform the best from the '90s, alternative and Spanish rock. Eruption will perform U2's Unforgettable Fire tour, the Police's Synchronicity tour, INXS's Listen Like Thieves tour to name a few. The concert will begin at 9 p.m. on Saturday, June 12, at Bayside Hut located at 3501 Rickenbacker Causeway in Key Biscayne.
"It's a great initiative from the parents of the Kendall Club to host this concert to make the club a better place for the children," said Alex Rodriguez-Roig, executive director of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Miami-Dade.
Tickets for general admission are $20 and $75 for VIP tickets, which include open bar and hors d'oeuvres. Corporate sponsorship is also available.
