In the Data Tracker Hands-On training you will learn how to enter and edit client demographics, create groups and assign clients, enter and edit attendance for type 1, 2 and 3 outputs as well as the basic entry of ORF and PACER test information.
The training will begin promptly at the scheduled time. We ask that you arrive on time. We understand that there are times when other duties may interfere with the scheduled training, however, if you will be more than 10 minutes late, please reschedule for the next available training as this allows the training to continue uninterrupted and provides a better learning experience for the other participants.

Every student wants to be “SMART”er! From October 3, 2009 thru May 15, 2010, experienced educators will be available to help your child, in grades K-12, reinforce their school work in a small group setting for FREE. Students must bring their assignment, text or workbooks, or whatever they want to reinforce and our tutors will guide them.
If you did not pre-register your child/children for the tutoring program, S.M.A.R.T offers a weekly “One Time Tutoring Pass” which is good for a one hour maximum tutoring session each week. A “One Time Tutoring Pass” is good only on the day issued and is issued on a first come, first served basis. Each week, your child/children may request a pass, but passes are only available if space permits.
Students must be able to work independently and follow directions. Maximum one (1) hour of tutoring per session. Students are expected to arrive on time and no later than 15 minutes past the hour assigned.

Fitness Outcome: PACER (a.k.a. The "Beep" Test) (5:00 pm)
Organization Name: Project RISE Type of events: In this active workshop, participants will learn how to administer and score the Progressive Aerobic Cardiovascular Endurance Run (PACER), also known as the "Beep" test. This modified shuttle run is a valid measure of endurance and overall fitness and is being adopted as the fitness outcome for The Children's Trust. A select group of Trust-funded agencies are required to administer this fun, research-based assessment during the school year, but all can attend . Every student wants to be “SMART”er! From October 3, 2009 thru May 15, 2010, experienced educators will be available to help your child, in grades K-12, reinforce their school work in a small group setting for FREE. Students must bring their assignment, text or workbooks, or whatever they want to reinforce and our tutors will guide them.
If you did not pre-register your child/children for the tutoring program, S.M.A.R.T offers a weekly “One Time Tutoring Pass” which is good for a one hour maximum tutoring session each week. A “One Time Tutoring Pass” is good only on the day issued and is issued on a first come, first served basis. Each week, your child/children may request a pass, but passes are only available if space permits.
Students must be able to work independently and follow directions. Maximum one (1) hour of tutoring per session. Students are expected to arrive on time and no later than 15 minutes past the hour assigned.
Most branches offer S.M.A.R.T. at 10:00 am, 11:00 am and 12:00 pm with the following exceptions:
- Model City Branch Library – Wednesdays from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p. m.
- Miami Lakes, West Dade Regional and West Kendall Regional will have additional Saturday hours from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m.
S.M.A.R.T. will be closed at all branches on Nov. 28, Dec. 19, Dec. 26, 2009 and Jan. 2, Mar. 27, and Apr. 3, 2010 with the following exception:
- Model City will not have S.M.A.R.T. on Nov. 11, Nov. 5, Dec. 23, Dec. 30, 2009 and Mar. 31, 2010.

SACERS Roundtable Discussion (5:00 pm)
Organization Name: Project RISE Type of events: In this workshop participants will learn ways to improve their scores on all 7 categories of the SACERS (School-Age Care Environment Rating Scale). Providers will learn about resources that can enhance the afterschool experience and improve their scores on the SACERS. Specific topics include: improving space and furnishing, implementing more safety and health practices, ideas for activities, enhancing communication between, staff, children, and parents, program structure, professional development, and provisions for special needs children. All Trust-funded OOS agencies are required to evaluate their programs using this research-based rating scale. ***Registration is a MUST. Email
