SAMIS stands for Services and Activities Management Information Systems, and is a web-based reporting system that will increase the efficiency of the information exchange between The Children's Trust and the funded Agencies. The application has been used since 1999 and is approved under the Statement on Auditing Standards (SAS) No. 70, a widely recognized standard developed by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). The application presents both Fiscal and Program sides. Paper invoices will no longer be accepted for contracts in SAMIS. Read more

This is a hands-on course that teaches participants how to create a monthly reimbursement in SAMIS, including recording payments to all vendors and using the Document Repository to upload certain documents. The course also teaches participants how to navigate some basic features of the software. Please limit registration to one person per agency to reserve a computer. This training will provide detailed instructions on how to enter a budget in SAMIS. Successful budget negotiation and data entry into SAMIS is required for a provider to receive reimbursement of costs incurred. The training covers topics such as Position Management, Workflows and SAMIS reporting.
Attendance in this training is required for all individuals in the SAMIS workflow (the Creator and the Submitter are required to attend).
Prior to registering for this training, it is strongly suggested to complete the SAMIS Learning Path online course at www.thechildrenstrust.org/elearning to become familiar with SAMIS terminology and processes.
Once a provider completes the eLearning course and passes the SAMIS quiz online, they will be able to print out a Certificate of Completion for their records.
The training will begin promptly at the scheduled time. We ask that you arrive on time. We understand that there are times when other duties may interfere with the scheduled training. However, if you will be more than 10 minutes late, please reschedule for the next available training as this allows the training to continue uninterrupted and provide a better learning experience for the other participants.

- Providers should bring their budget spreadsheets, in near complete format, along with the workflow and position management spreadsheets (links below).

- A printed copy of the Excel for backup (in case the flash drive malfunction).

Fitness Outcome: PACER (a.k.a. The “Beep” Test) (10:00 am)

This modified shuttle run is a valid measure of endurance and overall fitness and is being adopted as the fitness outcome for The Children's Trust. All Trust-funded agencies are required to administer this fun, research-based assessment during the school year. Participants may also receive the materials needed to administer the PACER at no cost from Project RISE. Remember to wear sneakers and arrive on time!

This workshop is the first step to incorporating a systematic approach to improving reading in OOS programs.
